Face Forward: Family & Community Engagement

The school year is off to a fantastic start across Morgan Hill Unified! Our schools, families, and community partners are coming together to create joyful spaces for learning, engagement, and growth. From Lotería nights and wellness activities to adult education milestones, there’s something for everyone to celebrate!

The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center continues to shine as a hub of learning and connection. Here’s what’s been happening and what’s ahead:

Lotería Night – Families converged at the FACE Center on September 5 for a lively evening of food, prizes, and laughter, hosted by South County Heals Promotoras. More Loteria nights to come … stay tuned!
 

Parent & Guardian Learning Opportunities:

Parent University offers ongoing workshops to support family engagement and student success.

Project Cornerstone Workshops continue this fall.  Our next virtual workshop is scheduled for November 6 at 5:30-7:00 p.m. and will focus on the very timely and important topic:   Digital Citizenship.  See our fliers to register:  English / Spanish

PIQE Parent Leadership Series – PIQE kicked off their workshop series around family engagement on September 30.  Classes continue over the next 4 weeks, Tuesday evenings at 6:00 on Zoom.  Join upcoming discussions designed to strengthen home–school partnerships.
The Family Engagement Program educates, empowers, and inspires families to take an active role in their students’ education while building community and a peer-to-peer network. Families are engaged in programming that encourages fostering a positive educational environment at home and at school to increase academic success. Families better understand how to navigate the school system, access relevant information for student success, and college admission requirements. Fliers:  Spanish / English
